Sometimes we're not sure of what we need in the way of support, but we know we're struggling. For some of us, asking for help or even saying "I want to learn and understand more about myself", feels risky. As children, we might have received messages that "not coping" was somehow shameful and that "admitting" we needed support left us feeling exposed and vulnerable. Those messages often carry on into adulthood. Thank goodness times are changing and our mental health and wellbeing are now being talked about positively. It's now a sign of strength and courage, wisdom and growth to say "I'm not okay and I need some help".
Life is always changing and shifting, we all have ups and downs...it doesn't mean we're doing anything "wrong". It just means that life is sometimes a bit challenging or painful and hard to see in a positive light. So if you're in a low patch and need some help in finding the way up, get in touch.
Although I trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor, my own experiences with therapy, extensive professional training, life experiences and learning a lot of (sometimes painful!) lessons, I offer my clients the breadth of my unique skills. You don't fit into a box, so neither should your support. Your healing and life journey is fluid and will shift, so your support needs to work alongside you.
That's why I will initially invite you to have a free 15 minute chat (via zoom). So that together, we can make a plan of support that feels like the right path for you at this time. I truly believe that YOU are the best person to find the answers you are looking for, YOU hold the most wisdom about yourself. What I can bring is a creative way of using all of my training and experience to co-row your boat into smoother waters.
Maybe there's nothing in particular happening, you just want some 1-1 time for yourself, to explore where you are in your life. Maybe you've done a few courses and want some 1-1 practice with expert guidance. What matters is that it works for you and that together, we use our time to help you feel nourished and grounded in your life.
Some ways we might work include:
Short/Long term counselling
Guided meditations and reflection
Self Compassion exercises and practices
Understanding the mind/body
Stress/anxiety resources
Creative expression
Setting goals

Inner child/family work
Ad hoc sessions as and when you need a boost
